Scott Reid has over 18 years experience in the exploration, development and mining finance sectors. His technical experience in the mineral and oil & gas industry was gained in a wide variety of geological and geographical settings including Australia, Asia, West and Eastern Africa and North and South America during his time with large multinational French geophysical contracting corporation (CGG); including management of World Bank and United Nations sponsored geophysical projects. He has been involved in the development of a number of successful listed companies including Andean Resources Ltd, AIM Resources Ltd and Discovery Metals Ltd. Scott Reid holds graduate and postgraduate qualifications in geophysics, applied finance and mineral economics.
Wayne John Kernaghan - B.Bus., ACA, FAICD, ACIS

He is a qualified chartered accountant who spent 5 years with Price Waterhouse. On leaving Price Waterhouse he has spent over 15 years as Finance Director and Company Secretary within the mining industry for ASX listed companies and as an Investment Manager in Australia and the United Kingdom, including with Waverly Asset Management. Mr Kernaghan is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Chartered Secretary.
Greg Duncan - B. Sc., MAusIMM

Mr Duncan has over 15 years experience as a mine and exploration geologist with experience in base metals, gold, platinum, uranium, diamonds and commercial minerals. After working as an underground mine geologist and then near mine exploration geologist with MIM in Mt Isa he based in Brisbane and worked on small scale epithermal gold mining and exploration in the Gympie district of Queensland before establishing a geological services company, Pacific Consulting Services Pty Ltd. His experience includes management of company exploration and advisory roles to several public companies.
Andrew Johnstone - B.Sc. (Hon), MAIG, F Fin
Chief Operating Officer
Andrew Johnstone is a geoscientist/manager with over 17 years experience in successful exploration, resource assessment and resource development. During his tenure with BHP/Billiton, the Northern Territory Geological Survey, Discovery Metals Limited and Proto Resources & Investments Limited, Andrew gained experience in a wide variety of geological and virtually all hard rock commodities. While at Discovery Metals, Andrew made a significant contribution to the acquisition of the Maun Copper Project in Botswana and the Barnes Hill Nickel Laterite in Tasmania. He has a wide knowledge of global geology and exploration techniques, especially geophysics, now driving many exploration programs. When combined with advanced finance training and exposure to project development in Australia, Asia/Pacific, Africa and Europe, he brings to Gulf experience and energy to help drive exploration programs; identify, assess and acquire new opportunities; and manage development of advanced projects.

Mr Fitzmaurice has worked as a Mining Engineer in Australia and Africa for over 20 Years. His experience covers commodities including: gold, diamond, platinum, chrome, base metals and other bulk mineral operations both underground and surface. From working with companies such as BHP Billiton (Gencor), De Beers and Aquarius Platinum along with a number of junior companies Mr Fitzmaurice has experience in the management of the full spectrum of project development from initial project acquisition through pre-feasibility to full bankable feasibility studies. Along with design, construction and commissioning of mines and processing facilities, Mr Fitzmaurice has also extensive experience on the Corporate level including project assessment/valuation, mergers and acquisitions and finance structuring.
Mr Fharhaad Ali Moosa - B.Sc. (Mech Eng), MBA, Pr ENG, GCC

Mr Moosa is a manager with 30 years experience working in assessment, development, construction and refurbishment of operations in Southern Africa, Central Asia and South America. During his career Mr Moosa has held senior positions including directorship of projects with budgets up to $450 million. Early career Involvement with well know operations such as Jwaneng Diamond Mine Botswana BCL Copper Nickel Mine Botswana; Richards bay Coal terminal gave Mr Moosa the experience to and drive to complete a MBA in the late 1980’s and move into managing larger projects for JCI during the 1990’s. In 2000 while at OMI, Mr Moosa was appointed at the Project Director for the Moa Ferro Nickel Project/plant in Cuba which was successfully completed in March 2004, this project had an execution cost of $450 million dollars.
Mr Derek Anderson - B.Sc., MGSSA
Senior Consulting Geologist – Southern Africa Operations
Mr Anderson is a geologist with over 35 years experience working throughout Africa and South America including the Caribbean. His expertise includes both exploration and mine geology for commodities including iron, nickel, copper, lead, zinc, uranium and gold. Mr Anderson began his distinguished career with JCI before turning to consulting in the late 1990’s. During the past 10 years Mr Anderson has consulted to a range of international groups including Highland Star Investments Ltd, Omicron Resources Pty Ltd, Highland African Mining Co Ltd, and AIM listed Noventa limited. During his career Mr Anderson has initiated and managed number of feasibility and bankable feasibility studies along with mine development activities including stability studies and shaft construction.
Mr Robert O. Barnes
Head of Country Operations, Madagascar
Australian national born and educated in Sydney, Robert moved to Mauritius after a career of 16 years in Qantas Airways where he held the management position of Line Controller. A fluent French speaker, he has resided in Mauritius since 1986 where he has a number of companies involved primarily in the tourism industry. Robert sits on a number of government committees and boards of various companies in Mauritius and Madagascar. He brings a solid experience and understanding of start-up company operations and corporate management in both Mauritius and Madagascar. He is currently based in Antananarivo, Madagascar where he oversees the establishment and expansion of Gulf’s local operations and diversification of our portfolio through identification and assessment of resource and mining opportunities of interest. Robert is the Managing Director of Austral Malagasy Mining sarl, the Madagascar-based arm of Gulf Resources Ltd.

Acquiring and managing the BFS funding and initial development of the high grade underground Perkoa Zinc Project (JORC Ore Reserve of 6.3 million tonnes at a head grade of 14.5% Zinc) in Burkina Faso, West Africa.
